Introduction:
Liquid Glucose is also called Corn Syrup. It is a kind of colorless or light yellow, transparent and viscous syrup that is derived from purified corn starch. Liquid Glucose has high viscosity, humidity, sweetness and pervasion. It also has such advantages as anti-crystalline and a lower freezing point.
Liquid Glucose is derived from purified corn starch through hydrolysis by the double enzyme method, de-coloration, ion exchange and purification (A series of two enzymatic reactions are used to convert the cornstarch to corn syrup).
Application:
1.In Food Industry:
- Sweetener: It is widely used in candy, beverages (carbonated and lactic acid drinks), juice drinks, solid drinks.
- Thickener: Because of its high viscosity, Liquid Glucose can increase the thickness and flavor in tinned fruits, fruit juices and syrup.
- Quality Enhancer, Preservative: Because of crystallization resistance ability, Liquid Glucose is widely used in baking industry, it can decrease the crystalline, lumping and deterioration in sweetened bean paste and the similar foods, so the food get better taste.

Drug additives to modified taste.
